Please help- throat problem?

I want to apologise at first for being possibly stupid. Nevertheless, id really like proper answers and nobody making fun please ;) I am 21 years old and have been diagnosed with health anxiety. I admit I freak out about anything being wrong with me, but would like to be taken seriously. For around 6 months I have had an on and off cough. Initially I would cough a few times a week, then it went, and lately it has been morning and night, but this has since gone. Whenever I am low or get worried, my sinuses tend to flare up and I get head congestion. Anyway, I have just woken up with the feeling of a lump in my throat. I am in no pain, have no sore throat, no horse voice and as I said, my cough has subsided. What could this be? It is not difficult to swallow but feels slightly 'spongey' when I do. Could this just be phlegm? I am petrified that I have throat cancer, despite the fact that I don't smoke, rarely drink, and have no family history. However, I have had this cough which is a common symptom, but hasn't been 'persistant', or has it? Does persistant mean every day or??? Due to my anxiety I would usually go to a doctor for reurance that I am ok, but I feel silly and don't wish to take an appointment from someone who could urgently need one. I would like to know my chances of having throat cancer at my age, and in fact, any cancer. I am such a worrier that I took to drinking green tea every day as I heard it is amazing for health. Please hlep me, I just want to act my age and not be worried every day that death is just around the corner. Thankyou so much in advance.

Banks were giving loans to people that they new couldn't afford them and mortgage brokers were lying about their credit ratings telling banks they were grade A paper when they really weren't, legislation was originally ped to prevent discrimination but with a lack of regulation some people decided they could make a lot of money and took advantage of the system. Panic set in and people started fearing they would never be able to afford a home so they let themselves be talked into loans that they didn't understand. Truthfully there is no one party to blame this on, it was greed and fear that caused it and now we all pay the price.

If I can play a video in WMP, why when I import it into Movie Maker, it can only be used as audio?

Can't read recovered word files!!!?

I recently recovered some word files that were deleted off of my portable hard drive. The problem is that when I try to open them with word 2007, all that shows up is a bunch of gibberish. Word 2007 tells me to "select the encoding that makes your doent readable". I can select: Windows (default), MS_DOS, or Other encoding, but when I choose any of them, all I see is a bunch of characters not normally seen on a keyboard. Is there any software that can repair these files so that I can read them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can a new landlord hold the tenant's money before ever giving them a key?

We recently signed a lease for a new rental, and paid the deposit, pet deposit, and first month's rent in cash (we got a receipt for it). We have Section 8, and the landlord told us that we could only have the key after the apartment ped inspection. Inspection failed today, and now the landlord is saying he no longer wants to rent to us and we can have neither the key or any of the money we gave him. He stated that it was in the contract that he could keep first month's rent, however the copies of the paperwork he gave us say nothing about this. Also, he has about $700 more than just the first month's rent because of the pet deposit and security deposit.

I'm a figure skater and have been skating (competitively) for about 7 years. I'm 14 now and I dread going to the rink everyday. I recently switched to a new coach and although he's a fantastic coach, I'm also terrified of him. He can be really demanding and I just dread the unknown- is he going to make me run m program 3 times in a row? Is the off ice going to be really hard? I'm just in a bad mood every single day because all I can focus on is having to go to the rink later. And school just ended, so basically my whole day is wake up, go to the rink, come home, repeat. On Tuesday (10/12) I tested with a dollor store tree test to see if the trigger left my system, and it was negative. Last night I tested with a one step test, and was positive. But it was so light I thought I was seeing things. I tested again a few hours later with first response early detection, same result. Why are us biracial women labeled as "Stuck Up"?

Okay, I am a proud ,beautiful and biracial woman who is very proud of who I am! Now I see that the "Light skinned/Black Skinned" topic has been something that has been around, probably since slavery began. I have a black husband who has opened my eyes to some things as to why I might get weird looks or stares from black women in the store. Now since reading things , I have seen that black women have basically labeled us Mixed girls as being "Stuck up" and I don't understand why. I have never came off as thinking I am better than anyone. I have always just been myself. I have A LOT of biracial friends and they have told me they have dealt with these issues too. When they go to the clubs/bars black women try picking fights with them, accuse them of trying to steal their men. Safety stirrups vs normal stirrups?

what's your advice on stirrups? i'm buying a saddle etc. for my pony Fred for the first time (we used to borrow one but we have now moved yards so don't have that option anymore) so i am now deciding on which stirrups to buy. My horse is a very nervous pony as he has been mistreated in the past by previous owners we think so he can be very jumpy and spooky hence me falling off quite a bit - it's a good job he's only 11hh bless him! If we decide to get married in the courthouse, witnesses, a judge a few days before our actual wedding - then at the wedding "ceremony" which would be more of a show since we already are legally married - could anyone serve as the officiant? In our state to be an officiant you have to be clergy or judge. I've been having recurring dreams about coyotes/wolves/bears etc.?

Ever since I was little, I've been having dreams about coyotes chasing me. I used to live on 10 acres of open farm land. The first 2 years living in that new house. I had a dream about coyotes chasing me and i jumped into my pool, when i jumped back out of the pool I saw a native american teling me to leave their land. THe coyotes were apparently on his side. Then I had dreams of coyotes chasing me only this time there were hundreds of them. Now I also lived in upstate new york, and one night I did infact hear them yipping behind my house. So i played along I was only 8 yrs old, and I started yipping back at them. tehy responded and when i put on the back light. i saw about 30 coyotes. they al ran back into the tall gr. But anyways i've always had a fear for them. NOw that i live in Northeast PA by lake wallenpaupack. Ive been having dreams about wolves and bears. I know there aren't any wolves that i've heard of. but i had a dream about one running around the house, and it came into my house and actually was frielndly to me. If the playoffs started today, ATLANTA, NOT DALLAS, would be in the playoffs. ESPN and FOX showed the playoff picture if it were to start today, and Dallas was on the outside looking in. ATL and DAL have the same record, but ATL would get in b/c of schedule strength. I'm not saying that ATL will make the playoffs, but I think that's just a dumb media move by the sports network (NBC) to showcase Dallas (as if they needed more attention). It's not a big deal, but I just don't understand why this network would say Dallas is in when ATL would be in, not the Cowboys. Is it that bad to show that 3 NFCSouth teams would be in, and only one NFCEast team would make it? Does it hurt the media's feelings that bad to have missed the projections that much that Dallas wouldn't even be in the playoffs right now? I know "everybody likes the Cowboys", but the media needs to get over teh love affair of these "America's Teams" (Cowboys, Yankees, Lakers,etc.), because their fans consist of true fans, uninformed sports fans that only root for popular teams, and media favorites because of the drama. Cat urinating on the carpet?

I have a 12-15 year old male cat(maybe even older, he was a stray and we could never pinpoint his age), never had a problem with him going anywhere but the litterbox since I have had him. I adopted a puppy almost a year ago and there are 2 other adult cats in the home. Almost 2 months ago, he started urinating in the family room, not all the time but enough to make it very unpleasent. He is not straining to pee nor is there blood in the urine or stool. I picked up a product called Health Alert which is a kitty litter with blood detection granules in it and put it in a new box and put it in my room where the other cats won't pee into. So far he has not used this box. I am taking him to the vet, but I just wanted to know if anybody else has had a problem like this and what the cause was. He hates the dog and also doesn't really like the other cats, could this be age or a behavioral problem? Or does it sound like a UTI? Anybody with the same experience please help. Thanks

Why install a DVD Burner?

I have been using the DVD Burner that came with my PC at purchase. For 2.5 yrs. now, it has done a wonderful job. It does however, take about 2-2.5 hours to encode and burn a FREE Doentary or movie. How can I get back into riding?

Ok, so I am like addicted to Horses. I started riding at the age of around 6, and ride solidly for 4 years straight. I had all the equipment such as Hat, Jodphurs everything. My parents paid for lessons weekly at our local stables which was �10 each week. Also the petrol money to get to the place added on top. I rode all the time and I have and don't ever think I will love anything more than that feeling. I got really good and could jump over a metre high at the age of 8. Once we moved house to out in the countryside I thought it would be a lot easier to ride, but it turned out harder. We don't have the money to buy/loan a horse, and all the stables around us are really bad. They have like 10 horses in a lesson at the same time in a tiny barn, and there is no room for anything. Literally once one stopped, and the horse behind it crashed into it's tail :O!! Other places were too far or epensive. So I stopped about 2-3 years ago. Recently I have regained my love for Horses. I have never stopped loving them, but now it's even more than before. I can't wait until when I can get my own horse and just be free to do whatever I please. Is there anyway I could ride in the meantime. Even if it just once a month or once every 2 months how do I say to my parents I want to go again. I would have to get new equipment, as it was all sold, and a few beginner lessons to learn the basics again. I have a great way with Horses, and my Birthday is in June so could it be a present? What do I say to them to let me do it again? There is nothing I want more. :) Over the years I collected more than 25 Horse Care and Riding Books, and I have been revising loads, and I feel that with one lesson I could probably do it all again. Lost weight, now I'm getting attention from women. Are they worth it?

Correct Polygon Rendering Technique?

I am having issues with polygons drawing correctly in Google Earth. I am basically drawing pyramids that are standing on their points. As of now, I draw the first of the 4 lines that define the sides of the pyramid, beginning from the point at the ground. I draw all 4 lines, and then connect the ends of the 4 lines to form the base. When I tell Google Earth to NOT fill the lines, it tries to connect some lines and ends up filling a few parts of the pyramid. And when I tell it to fill, it does the exact same thing. Am I not drawing the pyramid the correct way for Google Earth to understand how to fill it correctly? It is all a single object.

Should I just pay the fine or fight a speeding ticket?

I received a citation for speeding tonight on my way home from work. I work late and as a female driving at night I am always cognizant of tailgaters, someone was riding my bumper and so I sped up in order to pull away from them as I am very aware of criminal opportunities against women like smash and grabs and scams where a driver rear ends you and tries to get you to pull over, I guess I watch too much court tv. Anyway, the next thing I know there is a police car behind the tailgater, pulling me over. I have never gotten a speeding ticket before and have an excellent driving record. I guess when the officer asked me if I knew why he pulled me over and I responded "was it for speeding?" that I pretty much incriminated myself, I suppose I could have expressed why I was speeding but I have a feeling it would have fallen on deaf ears. because of my clean record he states he cited me for going 10 over instead of the actual radar of 14, some favor...right. Should i fight this in court

I love all that has been mentioned so far, but here is one that is very unique to San Francisco. It is called Friday night skate. At 9pm every Friday down by the ferry building you will see a ton of people with Rollerblades or skates. They start at the ferry building, go down the Embarkadero, to Fort Mason, though 2 tunnels and then at a Bart station, down escalators, then back to the ferry building. This skating event ends around midnight. What a sight to see.

Well, he didn't discriminate when he let you and your husband move in. So in that case at least we know that he is not prejudice. I really don't understand why he let them have a dog and not you. Did the tenant lie and tell the landlord that he needed it as a working dog. Does the dog perform tasks or ists with the tenants needs, is the other tenant disabled in any way. If is a working dog, the landlord has to let him have it, if it is needed. As far as the rent being paid in installments, it may have been set up that way in the lease when they moved in. The utility thing, I really don't understand. Are you sure that the other tenant isn't paying him extra for utilities included in his rent? It may be possible that the other tenant couldn't put the utilities in their name because they had bad credit, or owed the utility company money to put it back on. You would really have to know under what the cirstances are with the other tenants before you p judgment. It may be that he is discriminating against you, but you need to get the whole story before you judge. I am sorry you feel offended, and I hope you can get the straightened out. Have you confronted the landlord about all of these concerns?

A young 4 year old girl who suffered with Cerebal Palsy was subjected to such cruelty by her own parents as I have never read before. over a period of time, they broke her arm for which the child needed 7 operations, They ripped her hair from her scalp and took skin from her scalp doing this. They forced her hands under a hot tap and scalded her hands red eaw. They repeatedly kicked her on the floor as you would kick a football. During this, there were 13 home visits from Social Services and 2 Health care appointments, but nothing was reported. The last visit was on the insistance of the grandmother when the child was rushed to Hospital where she died. Strange as it may seem, no one in the Social Services is to blame as usual. No one will take responsibility for this childs death. The parents got 10 years each. I would have hung them myself.

Why does my chiffon cake separate when I bake it?

I have tried the Baking Illustrated recipe for making chiffon cake several times. I follow the instructions faithfully (or so I think), but every time my cake separates into a thin, gummy layer at the bottom and an otherwise normal and delicious cake layer. It's a mess because this usually causes the cake to stick to the pan and total destruction when I try to get it out of the pan. I can never present it to guests even though it tastes delicious.
