Does Sociobiology justify nihilism and suicide?

Apparently Ridley rejects the idea that man is a reasonable creature. That he is instead, a slave to his baser emotions. Reality would seem to reject this concept out of hand and thus his philosophy also. Which leaves a multitude of possible choices open to man. None of which, necessarily, includes suicide.
