Question for RNs with Vent Experience?

I am a new grad and I am thinking about taking a job in a small hospital that has a lot of ventilator patients. There are more patients with other things going on (wounds, cardiac, drug overdose pts, car accident pts, etc)/ I know this will be an intense position, but I feel like the experience will be awesome. I just wanted to get some opinions on what people thought about taking a job like this, being a new grad. I know I will have to learn a lot. Respiratory takes care of the actual vent machines for the most part, I will just deal with the settings and if it alarms, I will troubleshoot (check for need for suctioning, etc.) Respiratory is there 24/7, so that is a plus. I am just nervous. Please let me know your opinions!! Thanks
