Could my pencilfish feed on brine shrimp?

I have 4 pencilfish, I think are adult? (I got them at a fish shop so probbly old enough) and I don't really know what I should feed them. I tried some crushed flakes(smaller flakes not powder),but they seem to be afraid of the small current from the filter, and don't eat the food when its on the bottom of the tank. I tried freezedried bloodworms, but their too big so the fish spit them back out. I had some extra baby brine shrimp from feeding my kili frys, so I tried giving it to the pencilfish and they really like it. My question is, do brine shrimp have enough nutrience for the pencilfish? and if not what would you suggest I feed them. thankyou
